Corporations and foundations that sponsor or become an Affiliate with Team Sanfilippo distinguish their organizations as socially responsible and earn the gratitude and loyalty of over a million families, friends and caregivers. Our Sponsors’ generous unrestricted grants would enable the Foundation to undertake a variety of programs to benefit families with Sanfilippo Syndrome in areas of public and patient education, scientific conferences and research.
As a result, our corporate sponsors gain national visibility as corporate good citizens, reaching a variety of audiences.
Team Sanfilippo Foundation has many affiliates around the world and we encourage US based 501 (c) 3 organizations and foreign non-profit organizations dedicated to a cure for Sanfilippo syndrome to join our team as an affiliate.
To be considered as an affiliate, you will need to send us an affiliate package that contains the following information:
- Name, address, and contact information for your organization
- Brief description of market you reach and your mission
- Annual fundraising goals
- Copy of 501 (c) 3 letter or approval in your country of operation / residence
- Name of person who will be board member
Our board will review your application and approve your organization at our next board meeting.
As an affiliate, you will be a full voting member on the board of Team Sanfilippo Foundation and you will have the opportunity to review and vote on research proposals and monitor progress of current ongoing projects. As we move towards approving research proposals, each affiliate can commit to funds for each project approved and may choose to send the money to Team Sanfilippo Foundation directly for disbursement to investigate, or you can send funds directly through your own foundation. Once our board approves a grant, we have commitments of funding; Team Sanfilippo Foundation will contract with the researcher. Each grant is listed on our website with all affiliated organizations funding the project.
The requirements of each board member to be a voting member are:
- 10 hours per month of donated time
- Attendance at 80% of board meetings annually (via conference call)
- Working on one committee of your choice
Applications can be sent directly to Kathy Buckley.
